Zero Skateboards
A skateboard company that is located in Carlsbad, California is the Zero skateboards. This company was founded in the year 1996 as a clothing company headed by Jamie Thomas, a skateboard professional for Toy Machine Company. The Zero skateboards company emerged into a genuine skateboard company under the leadership of Jamie Thomas. It is also a subsidiary of the Black Box Distribution family along with Fallen Footwear and Mystery Skateboards.
As the team of Zero skateboard grew, Jamie Thomas formed the company of Mystery Skateboards in October 2003, which was headed by Adrian Lopez. However, the amateur members of Zero skateboarding namely Lindsey Robertson and Ryan Smith had transferred to Mystery Skateboards upon its formation. The Zero skateboard decks as the company’s main product are being manufactured by Cinco Maderas in Tijuana, Mexico. Cinco Maderas is a manufacturing arm owned by Jamie Thomas as well.
The skateboards Zero decks had won three successive competitions of Thrasher Magazines King of the Road from the year 2004 up to 2006, whereas Zero had beaten the brand teams of Baker, Almost, Real, Habitat, Flip, Element, Darkstar, Toy Machine and Girl Skateboards. However, despite the fact that Zero declined to defend its title as the King of the Road for the year 2007 of Thrasher Magazine, Chris Cole still won the award for the Thrasher and TransWorld Skateboarding.
Zero skateboard products focus basically on skateboard deck, which is designed mainly for the modern street skateboarding. A Zero skateboard deck comprises of two styles namely the Afterlife and Shallow Grave, which are in deep concave styles. The designs and styles of all Zero skateboard products are all inspired from the skateboard graphics of the era of 1980s having the gore, blood and skull themes as designs. However, the Zero skateboard logos tagged on the decks come in very simple designs inspired from multi-colored graphics and other explored art styles that emerge from time to time. A list of complete Zero skateboards for sale is often availed by the company to feature all the product lines as well as other bearings and hardware being offered. During the later months of 2006, Zero released a line of cheap Zero skateboards to support its documentary video entitled “West Memphis Three”. On the contrary, a volume of the Zero skateboards for sale are forwarded to the company’s defense fund. From this sale, all discontinued and used Zero skateboards products are being sold at cheaper prices.
