The company of World Industries skateboards is not only a manufacturing company of skateboards but of snowboards products as well. It was founded by Steve Rocco in the year 1987. The World Industries skateboard company had begun when Steve Rocco won a bid of 500 pieces of skateboards from the Skip Engblom, one of the skateboarding companies managed by the Santa Monica Airlines. From here, Steve Rocco formed his members and together they rented a warehouse to start the company. Among his members were some skateboarder pros like Rodney Mullen and John Lucero of Black Label. However, Lucero didn’t last long in the partnership and moved out to another skateboarding company. Additional members were hired for the start of World Industries skateboards, namely Jeff Hartsel and Jesse Martinez.

From the year 1988, the company of World Industries skateboard campaigned to get more attention from skateboarder pros.
