The Plan B Skateboards Company is one of the prominent skateboarding companies currently based in Vista, California. It was initially established in the year 1991 as a super team, which is made up of elite members of some skateboard pros during that time.
Under the World Industries of Steve Rocco, Plan B Skateboards was started and headed by Mike Ternasky, a former owner of H-Street. The original team of the company of Plan B Skateboard comprised of top riders from other skateboarding companies and that include Rick Howard, Sean Sheffey, Mike Carrol, Rodney Mullen, Matt Hensley, and Danny Way. After some years, new additional top riders were added including Moses Itkonen, Jeremy Wray, Ronnie Bertino, Sal Barbier, Pat Duffy and Colin McKay.
The history of Plan B skateboarding is filled with blood, tears and betrayals. In the year 1994, Mike Ternasky got killed in a car accident while Colin McKay and Danny Way took over the Plan B skateboarding company. From this incident that the two handled the management of the company, the team eventually went independent and separated from the World Industries of Steve Rocco. Some time before that, Mike Carroll, one of the Plan b skateboards company’s top riders left the company along with some fellow top riders, Sean Sheffey and Megan Baltimore.
The Plan b skateboard decks became the main product of the company upon its reformation. Because of this, the company released the promo film or video entitled “Live after Death” on September 2006. This video is downloadable in Podcast forms for your Itunes. A follow-up on the next video is to be released sometime in year 2007 as their first major skateboarding film.
