Extreme Sport

Extreme sports have now become the new measurement of skills for young adults everywhere. This kind of sports doesn’t only require skills but also a great deal of experience and guts to face a higher level of danger. Extreme sports are also known to be dangerous especially for novices. The development of extreme sports also heightened the safety measures of these events. Some of the extreme sports are: scuba diving, skateboarding, paintball, and surfing.

Paintball is a war game for civilians. Instead of live ammunition, balls of paint are used as bullets to mark the individuals when they are hit. Paintball has gained popularity worldwide because of its appeal to civilians to experience “war” without the danger of being injured in any way. Paintball requires planning skills as well as marksmanship. Protections such as headgears, camouflaged uniforms and boots are now required to enter the game and simulate an actual gunfight. Its development has given manufacturers new ways of protecting the gamers in this sport and its market is only growing and growing.

Scuba diving has existed years before the term extreme sports have been coined. Yet add the word extreme and you’ll face with a new kind of diving. Experienced scuba divers test their skills submerging themselves into the water as deep as possible in as little time registered. Around the world, divers have pushed their bodies in diving 4,000 ft in as little as 10 minutes only. Another extreme scuba diving is spear fishing in dangerous waters. This sport requires the diver to be in deep waters and face the marine wildlife known to attack and injure man. This scuba diving sport takes place most of the time in dangerous areas.

Skateboarding since its invention has been associated with extreme sports. The sport requires advanced balancing skills from the participant. Various skate parks have been built around the country for enhancing the skills of young individuals in the community. Participants practice their skills either in parks or “half-pipes”, a u-shaped platform where the skateboarder can show different tricks or exhibitions while on board. Around the world, various competitions are held. Sports networks sponsor these events since it gathers more audience and it's gaining in participation worldwide.

Surfing is also an extreme water sport for danger seekers. Surfing requires the participant perfect balance in the surfing board while facing waves bigger than the participant. International recognition of the sport is already established and there are many followers in sport. Along with its popularity is business for famous surfers as well as pleasure.
